A bevy of top-drawer musicians and songwriters (not that those things are mutually exclusive...) will help Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame member Gary Nicholson celebrate his 60th birthday on Sat., Nov. 7, during a 7 p.m. party at 3rd & Lindsley.

Television personality Harry Chapman will host the evening, which will feature Steve Cropper ("Sittin' On the Dock of the Bay"), Fortunate Sons (Nicholson's band, with Kenny Greenberg, Michael Rhodes, Chad Cromwell and Reese Wynans), Grammy-winning artists Lari White and Ashley Cleveland, Grand Ole Opry member Pam Tillis, Jessi Alexander ("The Climb"), Americana stalwart Chris Knight, Juno award winner Colin Linden, rock band Luke and the Late Nites, celebrated vocalist Jonell Mosser, singer-songwriter A.J. Croce, and hit writers Pat McLaughlin ("Songs About Rain"), Tony Arata ("The Dance"), Danny Flowers ("Tulsa Time"), Chuck Cannon ("I Love the Way You Love Me"), Tom Hambridge ("Every Time I Hear Your Name"), Beth Nielsen Chapman ("This Kiss") and Mike Reid ("I Can't Make You Love Me"), along with some surprise guests.

Tickets are $15, available at the door or at www.3rdandlindsley.com, with proceeds going to benefit the Nashville Songwriters Association International.
